Mountpark acquired the former Ford Transit van production plan in 2015 located close to Southampton Airport. Construction of Phase 1 (207,910 sq ft) commenced in early 2017 completing in November with all three units let to Murray Health & Beauty, Berendsen and CooperVision. Phase 2 commenced in early 2018 consisting of a further four units totalling 346,620 sq ft. Works completed at the end of 2018 with one of the units being let to PFSweb for a fulfilment distribution centre. The site boasts three fundamental benefits as an industrial/logistics development, being strategically placed just off the M27, 0.5 miles away from Southampton International airport, and less than 3 miles from Southampton Docks. The development achieved BREEAM “Excellent” on Phase 1 and “Outstanding” for Phase 2 and also achieved a Gold Award at Considerate Constructors Scheme National Awards 2019.
