- MICHAEL SPARKS ASSOCIATES (established 1988) is a RIBA Chartered Practice of Architects and Planners committed to producing buildings of quality and to maintaining the highest professional standards.
- Our 37-strong design team incudes 34 qualified architects and 3 planners and combines creative talent with extensive experience of commercial development work gained from participation in projects for major corporate clients.
- In 2022, we opened a dedicated office in Madrid to work in European markets within the sector to provide the core services we are well known for.
- The Practice has established a reputation for imaginative design solutions, technical expertise and a sound commercial approach to contract management and cost control. Particular care is taken to interpret the full requirements of the client and to optimise the buildings for each individual site. All stages of building work are closely supervised, and all elements of the design and construction process are carefully coordinated.
- Our commitment to quality, value and service is proven by over 97% of our workload being repeat business from a well-established client base, whilst 3% is by recommendation. Our clients are developers, funds and major occupiers who are acknowledged as leaders in the sector.
- Sustainability and welfare are key to the success of the Practice. We have achieved BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ or ‘Excellent’ on 38+ buildings. EPC ‘A+’ and carbon negative buildings often feature as a standard, along with very high urban greening factors and provision of amenity areas to promote a healthy workforce. Local authorities and the GLA refer to our developments as ‘exemplary’.
- Michael Sparks Associates are well known as one of the leading architects in the commercial sector. Our 38 years of experience has produced a substantial portfolio of work. Well over 2,500 buildings have been completed for many occupiers and developers, ranging in size from 500 sq ft to 2.4 million sq ft (totaling upwards of 103 million sq ft).
