BESSEMER PARK

Practical Completion has been awarded to Phase 1 of the design led urban logistics and industrial regeneration at Bessemer Park, Sheffield. Michael Sparks Associates were appointed as the architects and masterplanners for client Peel Logistics Property to develop the former Outokumpu site, one of the largest in Sheffield, into a flagship for industrial floorspace. With immediate access to J34 of the M1 Motorway, the park comprises an impressive and nationally significant 50 acre development site situated within the heart of the UK, with 6 airports within a 90 mile drive and 75% of the UK within a 4.5 hour HGV drive from the site.

Phase 1 comprises of two brand new industrial warehouse units. The smaller unit comprising 45,000 sq ft is pre-let to Arthrex and the larger 134,000 sq ft unit is pre-let to ITM Power.

Phase 2 received outline planning permission from Sheffield City Council in 2018 and can accommodate units ranging from 80,000 sq ft up to 660,000 sq ft, deliverable by Q1 2021.

Both Units were let prior to Practical Completion.
