Michael Sparks Associates were the architects behind Bloom’s Lilford Business Centre, an ultra-urban multi-let industrial estate in Camberwell providing eight purpose-built warehouse units, ranging from 3,575 sq ft to 10,170 sq ft. The development comprises of two parallel terraces with a central access and servicing courtyard which aims to maximise density and job creation and align with London’s intensification targets for employment sites.

Laid out predominantly over two floors, each terrace has ground floor entrance for warehouse and office spaces fronting the central courtyard. The street facing elevation is a direct response to its context and the intended industrial use of the proposed buildings whilst creating a contemporary streetscene to replace the previous poor-quality design of the existing site buildings.

The scheme has achieved EPC A+ and BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ accreditation.
