PEEL LOGISTICS PARK
MSA has successfully secured planning for a new logistics/industrial hub in Sheffield, creating up to 77,850sqm of high quality logistics premises (B8/B2/B1 use). Sheffield City Council’s Planning Committee voted 9-1 to approve the hybrid planning application on the former Outokumpu and previously British Steel site.
The hybrid application consists of Phase 1 (full application) Erection of 2 units – 16,615 sq m of B1c/B2/B8 floorspace and provision of associated access and landscaping; Phase 2 (Outline application) Details of access for up to 61,230 sq m of B1c/B2/B8 floorspace.
The proposals will deliver a design led urban logistics and industrial regeneration on one of the largest sites in Sheffield, a flagship for industrial floorspace in the area. The project will create a wide range of job opportunities via the development of the new multi-let logistics park, and aims to contribute wide-ranging environmental improvements to the site and the wider area.
Phase 1 is programmed to start on site December 2018.
