PLANNING NEWS

The MSA Planning Team have had a busy start to 2019 and have already secured planning permission for in excess of a million square feet of employment floorspace at a number of sites since the start of the year, with applications recently submitted for a further million square feet of floorspace at sites in Trafford in the North West of England and adjacent to Glasgow Airport in Renfrewshire.

Planning Permission was recently secured at the following sites:

• Former BA Engineering site in Hayes – redevelopment to intensify use of the site for circa 17,000 sq m of flexible employment use
• Nowhurst Business Park – development of a site outside the built up area boundary to provide c. 27,000 sq m of flexible employment use to meet the future needs of Horsham
• Clipstone Park, Leighton Buzzard – Secured greater flexibility and more floorspace on a Green Belt development site to provide c. 49,000 sq m for flexible employment use
• The Hub, Burgess Hill – planning approval for the second phase of development to provide a unit of circa 5,000 sq m for a specific occupier
