Heathrow

Michael Sparks Associates worked together with Segro and Rolls Royce to deliver two bespoke buildings. With a construction value of £9.2m, work started on site in February 2012 completing in December 2012.

These buildings form the new On-Wing Care Facility replacing an old building in Hatton Cross. The larger unit provides a workshop and offices for their main operations, whilst the ancillary unit provides storage for airplane jet engines. The workshop has achieved an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating and an EPC rating of A18 utilising the use of PV’s, rain water harvesting and heat pumps as part of the sustainable design.
