TONY WHITE
It is with very great sadness that I have to let you know of Tony White’s passing.
Tony was an absolutely key member of the development of the practice. He was a Partner and my sounding board for over 25 years and his commitment and no-nonsense advice were all really valued. When he retired a few years ago we really felt the loss, as did our Clients.
He was not only a very talented Architect, he was grounded in common sense which our Clients really appreciated.
Whilst a passionate and somewhat crazy cyclist, his anger with the motorists he came across in his 1-hour cycle from home every morning and evening meant that we tended to delay extended communication until mid-morning!
He was passionate about developing the Practice but also those who wanted to learn and he mentored most of the now senior members of the Practice.
He will always be part of our great memories with his dry sense of humour and hilarity, whether it be mismatched shoes on a Practice weekend or his impersonation of Blofeld from Goldfinger with a fake white cat on his lap.
