SEGRO appointed MSA to develop the design of their 450-acre site adjacent to Coventry Airport. Planning consent was granted to develop 3.7m sq ft of industrial and warehouse buildings (B2 & B8) over 215 acres, with access via new road junction off the A45. The scheme for DHL was the first unit and delivered a bespoke facility. DHL choose SEGRO park due to its location as it is a gateway to the rest of the country, 90% of UK postcodes can be reached within 4 hours. The hub features state of the art mechanization and customs capabilities to support international e-commerce and to enable high speed and high-quality parcel handling. It has been designed to high environmental standards, through features such as solar panels, EV charging stations for cars and LGVs, LED lighting and landscaping to protect the natural biodiversity of the area.
